I just busted tranny so imma drop it all.. My car runs good, Very cold natured?? That norm on these?? My 86 TPI is not quite as bad but only hass 88k vs 155k, But it will drive just fine, Ya lay in the gas it will start skippin, Now it dont skip when ya full throttle just norm. driving speed. I changed 1 fuel filter and ran like new 4 a day or 2, So I got a dirty tank.. Is there some awesome additive I can add without dropping the tank? Just looking at it (Im use 2 3rd gen lol) This one is wayy diff. How hard is it 2 drop the tank??

 

its way easier to just change the tranny and not drop the motor with it. could be the fuel pump as well so change the fuel pump while the tanks out and dont use a cheapy, use oem pump. have you dumped the filter out into a jar and checked out whats in it? tank is a pain to drop. you have to pull the exhaust and rearend to get ot it. lol, then it drops fairly easy. carefull with the fuel lines they kink easy, i wrapped the kink spots with black tape so it wouldnt kink in the same spot again to keep it from cracking. worked. no additive to get dirt, grime or rust outa the tank. if you invent some let me know and ill be your partner.
