i got 3000$ to put in my new lt1 with a auto trans what would u spend it on

 

good stereo is a must, good brakes, tires, wheels, lights, good cat back exhaust, cai, headers, and i think money is gone.

 

was meaning internal can u really do much for 3000$ i want to rebuild the engine and company that doing it going to put in performace parts in free just have to get them

 

For $3000, if you shop around and find good deals, you might be able to pull off a good top end build, but that's a big if because it gets pricy and adds up quick.

 

If you can do the work yourself, get LE2 heads and a cam, headers, a tune, fuel pump, injectors and upgrade to C5 brakes if you have 18" rims, or LS1 rotors if you have the stock wheels. And if you have enough money, beef up the rear end because it WILL detonate...

check here http://www.elliottsportworks.com/ for the le2 heads and cam. you will need 1.6 rockers, push rods, lifters, i would suggest that when you order from lloyd let him know what you want, he is very good and will give you an idea of what you will need to go with the heads and cam. then its a matter of finding the best deal.

 

Yea im trying to get money in the thing bec i am doing motor then trans then rear before even thinking about turbo or super chargeing it
