2002 SS with just over 18K original miles. I drive the car every couple of weeks, and less some SLP bolt on mods, it is stock. During my drive today, I had to put my foot into it to avoid a collision, and when the RPM's reached 3000, the car hiccuped rather hard. I was in third gear at the time, but I later ran through all the gears making sure that I was accelerating rapidly through each gear, and each gear 2-5 experienced the same hiccup. No other problems, except the battery went dead between this and the last drive. I just purchased some fuel and carb cleaner, but don't know that much about cars to diagnose this problem. Need help, any thoughts...

have it scanned for trouble codes at your local parts store. call before hand to make sure they can do it. may give an idea where to look.
