Default Two subwoofers hurting acceleration?

I've got two 10's in a big sealed box in my trunk, takes up all the space and weighs about 60 pounds for the whole setup.
I read somewhere that if you want your car to have better accelation, you've gotta cut down on excess weight..

Do two subs weighing 60 pounds in the trunk hurt quarter mile time any?
My theory is that they could lower the suspension, provide the back wheels with more traction from the weight and actually make for better times!

Any thoughts on if I should remove the box for track days??

All other things being equal lb/HP determines the acceleration rate.

The rule of thumb is 100lbs as about a 1/10th of a second
