I am looking to buy a 02 SS Camaro T top. Never had any experence with these cars but the one Ive been test driving has a Tranny temp gauge. The car is modded with at least a cold air intake exaust headers race cats etc. My concern is the tranny seems to run hot on the highway it sits round 200 but in and around town it will hit 250 and if being drivin a little hard it will hit 260. Gauge stars flashing hot!!! lol. I pulled the tranny dipstick and its nice and red and doenst smell burnt or metallic. Is this normal? I know nothing about autos thanks!
