Default Torque management system 2000z28

Can anyone tell me what exactly the torque management abuse mode time limit is. The % torque reduction vs rpm and the upshift torque reduction.. The diablo predator programmer can turn all these off, but i am not sure what they do, and if it is a good idea to turn them off.. Thanks for your help

Torque management shuts down the engine for about one revolution, usually by turning off the injectors. At the same moment the elctronically controlled transmission will shift to the next gear. After the shift is completed the engine reverts back to full power. The reason for this is to lessen the shock on the drivetrain during WOT shifts. The effect on performance is negligeable as the slight loss in power is compensated by the transmission being able to shift slightly faster. As far as I can remember this feature was not applied to Camaros, at least the LT1 powered ones. However; it was/is used extensively on front drive cars, such as the W bodies.
