Synthetic not good in ls1?

i have always run synthetic, but a buddy of mine said he needed to add about a full quart shortly after the initial change

Yeah, like i said, my SLP came from the factory with mobil 1, the artical says the ls1's had oil consumption problems, and can be enhanced by shythentic, and gm recomended petroleum based oil.. was just making sure no one has had problems running synthetic in there ls1, cause the car only has 3400 miles on it, wanna keep synthetic in her..

my car is on 143k with none of that synthetic crap. like i said waste of money. my dad never ran synthetic in his camaro and beat the **** outta it at the track ever week without a problem. its just a waste of money. its like buying a slp lid for 99 bucks when you can get a different name brand for cheaper that does the same thing. i also been told there way to thin...
