Default Rain water inside hood question.......

Quick question: It's raining out and I drove to work, when I arrived, I lifted the hood and noticed a bit of water drops around the battery, brake lines and the headlight area, does this have to do with the air scoop hood? And is this normal or dangerous? This SS is new so I'm still getting used to it! Thanks everyone.

most cars will get a little wet in the rain.
if it is pooling aroudn the battery I would make sure that your hood is seated properly. there are pins with rubber tops that you can twist up or down to adjust the ride height of the hood. The hood scoop should have something inside to redirect water away from the intake.

I didn't know you can adjust the hood like that, but yea everything is seated properly, I'm just a real paranoid guy, trip about any little thing and literally killing myself with that problem, bad case of ocd :/ , but anyways thanks dude.

I would also just verify that the scoop is completely intact. I dont have an SS so I dont know what the setup is, but the scoop should have a baffle and some sort of drain to keep you from ramming rain water down the filter. Make sure someone didnt remove this before you bought it. look for cut marks or anything anywhere within reach. I dont know if this is even accurate info, its just what I would do in your situation. make sure the hood is in stock condition. if so, then I wouldnt sweat it.

Yea, this car is 100 percent stock, a 70 year old man had it before me, nothing at all was done to it, just regular maintenance.
