nice price on your SS. I think if this car looks and drives good tomorrow I will offer 6600 and leave it at that. I really want that LS1...beat the **** out of my 305 TPI, but I love my ROC

Yeah, the LS1 is nice and they can be massaged quite a bit.

My first Camaro (88) had the 170hp TBI engine. LOL.

so I saw the car, but I did not even drive the car. I am glad I only drove 45 mins to see it. The guy totally made the add up. First off, the car had been in a fender benderup front...maybe not that big of a deal...but then I saw the left fron quarter panel was bent out about an inch. The rear had quite a bit of rust on it underneath and the paint was scratched all around with several dents in the hood. On the inside the car had been smoked in,(which over the phone the owner said it was a non smoker.) It smelled like it bad...then the car wouldnt even start. We had to jump it and then the gauges wouldnt work. No tach no speed no odometer no nothing lol. The owner did admit the clutch was gone too. I laughed when he said this was why he was asking 2k below book.....IMO the car was worth about 4k. I left soon there after...pathetic. I guess what burns me up is the add stated the car was in EXCELLENT condition.....so the quest for a good LS1 car continues.

I was going to say that was a pretty good price until I read your last post. What a j@ck@ss!!! I would have been very irritated if I would have been you & drove over to look @ a beat POS. Sorry man, keep your eyes open because there are still great F-Bodies out there. I mean hell, I just picked up a bone stock 97SS M6 in Red w-o a ding or scratch. Only a couple of everyday rock chips from road useage.

In fact, just recently I checked out a couple of Camaros in California & Colorado with under 30k miles that were great.
