I had a squeak coming from the hatch area that I couldn't find, after lubing everything that looked like it would squeak I still had the problem. I got drastic and let my wife drive ( I know don't say it but I was desperate) while I was crawling all around in the back I discovered that the noise was coming from the spare tire area. I had to move the spare and the jack around a little bit and it stopped the squeak. Besides the wife had her turn at the wheel so I am good to go on that for the next year.

 

Hum, Glad to hear that cause I got some kinds of cricket chirpin crap coming from the hatchback area and I'm getting ready to do the same thing ...lube stuff, tighten stuff and now check out the spare tire and see what all is floppin' around there. I hate squeaks.
