as they said above depends on exhaust. For example like Zoilus' exhaust a cut out on a free flowing exhaust might not make much difference, but on stock it will. However on stock it may run like poo.
GTR if you do it after cats they are still restrictive, and you wont gain much other than noise if you have a good cat back, if your system is fully stock and cut outs are after cat you will gain more.
But why not just get a good full free flowing system all the time??
