Default Brake pad question

I need to replace the brake pads on my 2002 SS and was wondering if the OEM pads are good or do I need to use aftermarket for safe and quiet braking.

Thanks

OEM are good but they usually go for top dollar. Ceramic is a good choice for stopping power, low dust & low noise. Make sure the rotors are in good shape, if you have a pulsating pedal get them cut, or better yet, put in new ones.
