Default Battery Tender

I got a Battery Charger and when i was done using it realize it was dumb because it will die and just gonna have to re-charge it again. So i heard a battery tender you leave on at all times and itll automatically shut on and off when its charged or in need of charging. Can anyone give me some more input on a battery tender? and what brands are good

A battery tender is a trickle charger, all it does is to provide enough power to keep the battery from self didcharging (2-4 Amp), but won't put out enough to charge a discharged battery. Most good battery chargers have a trickle charge setting. I am using one that shifts to a trickle mode automatically once the battery is charged.

Sears sells them, also schumacher, Battery Tender, and others, they maintain a full charge on the battery, and dont overcharge. Remember to use the 12V setting, I had mine on 6V mistakenly for a month or so. Keep it plugged in

I got a battery tender from Afterthoughtsauto.com it was only about $45 shipped. Its the Deltran Jr. No complaints and it seems to work very well.
