I just had the Body Control Module changed on my 1999 SS. Now the alarm remote does not work. Also before the change the car armed itself if I didn't use the remote. I changed the battery in the remote just to make sure and still nothing. I tried to reprogram the remote and nothing. Not sure if I need to get a newer remote now or not. Any ideas?

checked the battery or possibly the contacts on the inside of the remote my old factory key pad had corrosion on the terminal and cleaned them off and worked great. and a dead battery in the key pad means a dead key pad so worth a look.
