A4 VS M6

is there any proof of the t56 taking over 600hp?

and at 600rwhp I wouldn't be worrying to much about the trans more than I would be worrying about your internals making a break for it from the confinement of the engine compartment! Oh and for a few months I had a drykit on. I was making/still make470 N/A at wheels and was hitting 568 with spray and the only issue I had was my gas needle was magically drawn to the "E" ....alot!
I am running a stock 4L60E with a Yank 4000 stall and a big trans cooler. Three years of running well into the 11's and pulling 1.5 60 foots and it is 100% fine. The T56 broke with less than 400 rwhp. Plus the T56 is not really a very good trans for drag racing as the ratio in 1st does not help to launch the car.
^^^^ Both of them are dead on. The T56 is a rear killer, it is stronger the the 4L60 but is not by any means the best transmission to be using for drag racing. The transmission that is in my car right now is the factory 4L60 with 91,000 miles on her. I have probably 60 passes on the transmission plus a few hard cone runs on her as well. The car has had two different nitrous kits and the factory trans has held up perfect. In a few weeks when we pull her out i plan on keeping her around for future projects and i have no question she will still run like a champ.

What trans cooler are you running?
Nice to see you still around friend

we dont exactly need biased misinformation. just because the t5 isnt as good as the t56 doesnt make it complete garbage. you can run easy 12s on the t5, or at least the one that came in the mustang.....
I am running a B&M cooler that I have had on a few cars, I forget what the model number is, but it was the biggest one I could get at the time. Remember thoguh that its a lock up converter, so when you are just cruising around there is not really that much heat generated. Yea I know I have been MIA for awhile. Work is super busy during the winter months and now we have two kids, so they take up more time. I will be around a lot more once the snow melts.
