A4 VS M6
I have heard that the automatic tranny 4Le (<- Idon'tthink thats right) can handle basiclly any amount of power with out needed to be built to handle more power. And that the T-56 tranny is weakand can only handle 400 HP . Is this true ?

no u hav it a bit backwards. the 4l60e is weaker then the t56 ive talked to ppl putting 600rwhp thrugh a stock t56. ill be attempting to put 700rwhp through my stock t56 but it probably wont hold and add another $2k to my project[:@][&o]

The T5 is crap. The A4 in the V6 is the same A4 that is in the LS1. Unless you plan on braking into the 400s with a 3.8 you will be ok

I have yet to find a automatic transmission that is indestructible, let alone any car part. Most automatics cant take much. The only down fall with autos is they cant hold much power and you need a stall when putting a bigger cam in, however atleast you dont have to worry about dropping the trans to put a clutch in.

the t5 isnt as strong as the t56, but its not THAT bad.
it has a tendancy to fail around the 400rwhp mark. from what ive seen from boosted stangs, 3rd gear likes to go pop, but im sure everything is at risk.
