1.25 or 2inch drop?
I've decided to lower my car on a budget of 250$. The only problem I have is deciding how low I should go, my aim is to go as low as possible without making daily drives a pain in the ***, I also need suggestions of springs which won't blow my shocks in the future. I was also wondering if u guys have any pics showing a 1.25inch drop vs. a 2inch drop.
hey, on a budget you dont wanna go too far past 1 inch or so cause the shocks will eventualy go. I've done all my suspension and the car looks good and is not a pain, it scrapes sometimes but some road here in UK are crap.
I did springs first but standard decarbon shocks went after a month so ended up just getting the whole lot with some savings, this ment i has to do the job twice but i do it all myself so dont pay anyone else to touch my car !, but if you take it to a shop it could be expensive getting it dome twice once for springs then a month later when shocks blow
Its well worth getting the whole kit, UMI are good guys and got some eibach springs (ok in my opinion but there are loads of threads about sping shock combos) and KYB AGX adjustables. I think everything was around $1000 for parts so is not a bad price compared to some konis etc.
If you could push a bit more cash i would recommend a set of springs ~$200 ish and some KYB gas adjust shocks, they are better than stock and cheaper than AGX. If you can wait a bit longer and save thats the best plan
Ill try get some pictures up when im home from work before and after suspension

Pesonaly I think lowering a daily driver is a big mistake. It's gonna scrub and you can go ahead and kiss that pretty lil nose piece goodbye, its going to catch asphalt rash big time! Dont take me wrong is graet for a weekend or track car, but not for something that you have to depend on to get you from a to b. I speak from experience I've had several lowerd rides both traditonal and air ride. But anyways thats just my 2pennies.
ok these are the best pics i have of the car, excuse me in the way on the first.
You can definitly tell its been lowered, the car sits more level too, I love it and its my daily driver
It droped about 1.25 on front, 2 ish on the rear. On Eibach Pros
