i have a 1984 camaro Z28,, i just put a 350 in it and i have stock manifolds hooking to a y pipe into a single pipe straight to the back. my camaro came with twodual mufflers.so i cut them both off, and left the pipe in between them on. and it sounds great. not to loud and it has an aggressive sound.. so i was thinking about justrunning dual3 1/218 inch long round tips. how do yall think that would sound? please any opinions

 

Tips do not affect sound, personally i hate the sound of straight exhaust unless you have a big cam.

 

Putting tips on will deepen the sound a little bit, not making it sound raspy sounding. How where u thinking of running your exhaust again? single back over the axle then into dual at the end.

 

i think tios kinda make a big diff in sound one ls1 with loudmouth like my car, with the stright single tip vs my double tips on each side, it sounds different when we rev and on the highway so idk thats just from wat i heard and from pple...

 

yea i was going to run the single pipe way to the back and split it into two pipes then run 3 1/2dual tips
