Default Painting or Wrapping Headers

My headers on my Camaro have rusted up they where painted but they were not up to temp when it was done also i don't think it was the best paint so I am going to pull them off and sand blast them down and repaint them my question is what is the best paint you would recommend to use. Also I thought about heat wrapping the headers but I heard it make them brittle and wear out faster. is this true

summit has some paint that they recommend putting on your headers before you wrap them.your right if you wrap them with no paint they will rust out and holes will start popping everywhere..thats why they recommend this special paint before wrapping.i'm fixing to my headers.it has to make a big difference losing all that hot air.cooler air charge, better exhaust flow, cooler fuel temps

Same here with the paint then wrap. Cheaper headers tend to be verry thin so they will rust out fast.
