I'm in the market for some California smog-legal headers...I was wondering if my 78 has an oxygen sensor(s). I thought only earlier models had them? Any help on the subject would be great. Thanks!

 

do u have a carb? i think the 02 sensors came in 80, looked and found a polution 02 sensor for a 78 so cali cars may have had one.

 

Hey Craby, i got the answer I was looking for from other members. Apparently they didn't use an o2 sensor until '81.

Yeah I looked it up on-line too and found an o2 sensor for an 1978 camaro but that didn't seem right because I've never seen one on my car....which is why I asked Thanks for trying to help me out though
