Need Help With Intake/carb/cowl induction
Hey everyone I was hoping you might be able to help me out here. I have a 67 camaro with a 350 and im installing the cowl induction system on the engine. I currently have an edelbrock 2701 Performer intake manifold and a Holley 650 double pumper on the block and when I put on the air cleaner and flange it gets really tight under the hood. Its too the point where if I close the hood all the way it slightly bows the hood. The seal gets pushed down off the flange. I need about an inch of clearance. Do you have any suggestions?
Im considering changing to an edelbrock 2101 performer which will give me about an extra 1/4 inch. what carb should i change to to give me the other 3/4 inch?

scratch this post. i figured it out. The cowl induction system came in a box and the flange and extension were already assembled. this made them look as if they were one piece. After some tugging and pulling i found out they were 2 different pieces and it should all be fine now. no changing of carbs or intake manifolds.
