Smile Long tube Headers?

Hey guys, I have a question... I was wondering if it is possible to put long tube headers on my 1987 Z/28 camaro? I went to my local shop today to have it priced out and they told me that long tube headers do not fit on the 3d gen with out cutting into the frame, Is that true? He said there was no room for them. They also told me that shorty headers are more effective performance wise and easier to install with an exhaust, true? I have my doubts about some of the stuff they said but ill leave the finals thoughts to you guys.

Also is it smarter to run dual exhaust or a single on my camaro?
thanks guys...
Frankie

Third gens have a lot of clearance problems with long tubes... As far as performance goes, long tubes are better regardless of what any idiot says.

And neither is smarter than the other. If you go with the right sized pipe, neither is better than the other.
