Long Tube Headers....?
Does anyone know if the flange pattern on 3.8 mustang (94-98) headers will be the same as 3.8 Camaro flange pattern? i saw a pair of brand new unused longtubes on CL for 50 bucks....worth buying? your opinion is greatly appreciated.

Headers are designed to fit the engine and car. The chances that a set of header off of two different mondern cars with the same engine would interchange is almost nile . Unless it is same body like the Camaro/Firebird. The chances that to car manufacture would have the same exhaust manifold bolt pattern and the same exhaut port config is near nile.
So to most of us your question is kind of silly, I am not saying that to be mean just so you know there are very few parts that cross over from one car maker to another. Headers are Very car/year specific. A set of headers off a 92 350 camaro would never fit a 93 350. Even across cars that look same there could be a change in the steering design that would require a header change.

The only reason im asking this, at the risk of sounding like i know nothing, is because i read online that the exhaust ports and bolts are the same between the heads on the mustang and the camaro. i figured maybe some gearhead on here who has worked on 3.8 mustangs would know if they are similar. plus i dont care if they are going to have problems with the steering, i have the tools and the know-how to make em work. also i dont plan on having my headers wrap under the engine anyways, so they would be the perfect shape for what i need.
Why dont YOU turn in your computer to the nearest person you see, then find a door and slam YOUR head in it.

So what is your question? I would rather make a set of header from scratch then to try to make a odd ball set fit. We get complaints in here all time about headers that are supost to fit and are off a little this way or that way. There is not much room between the infender and the motor. 1 deg miss bend and it will not fit. The test fitting you going to have to do in the car will be a huge pain even with a hoist. It sure is a lot of working making something fit when you can buy a set of life time warranty stainless headers for under $300.
