my friend might be getting a v6 90 something camaro. i forget what year, mabe 96, not sure. but he wants to put a muffler on it if he gets it. he cant buy a cat back cuz hes kinda short on cash, what kind of muffler sounds best on a v6? he wants it to sound good and kinda like a v8. its a 5speed and its all stock with 220,000 miles. kinda high i know, but hes gettin it for like 300 bucks. the reason im posting this is because he has no internet.

 

edelbrock sdt is a decent muffler with good sound.
if he wants it just barely louder than stock id go with flowmaster 50 series or magnaflow
i had the 'brock and flowmaster on my 97 and now i have magnaflow on my Z so there the only ones i can relate too

 

he's never going to get it to sound like a V-8. a V-6 with a muffler will always sound like a V-6 with a muffler. also with 220k on the ticker, he might be better off spending money somewhere else first. JMHO

 

i just found out his a hole dad was screamin at him and said no. dont kmow the whole story but his dad wont let him have it even if he buys it cuz he dont want a pos sittin in his yard or something. but thanks anyways. im sure hell find something else.
