I just got a 78 Camaro with a 350 motor in it. I have headers for it that I got from the seller, which he did not have time to install. I am wanting to put them on, along with a new Y pipe, Catco high flow cat, and 3" piping with Flowmaster muffler to top it all off. But my question is...would a Hedman Y pipe ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku) fit the headers (shorties) and also, would this cat ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...art=CTO%2D2607) fit onto the Y pipe?

 

i had a 79 z28 and was able to run true duals with no problems. and i ran them all the way back

 

that y pipe is for a 82-92, wrong generation

Find one that will fit a 78

and dont waste money on a cat for a 78...

 

forget about the y-pipe and check with your local laws and see if you even need to still run a cat on that car
