Default Headers or Exhaust System?

I was wondering what the first exhaust mod someone would do to a completely stock 1991 RS 305. I was thinking wither SLP Ceramic Coated Headers or a Chambered exhaust. Would it be practical to work from the back of the entire exhaust system to the front----> Exhaust system first or Headers First? PS Im just looking for a head turning sound that provides the performance. Also I was wondering depending on the type of Header, is it posible to loose low end power? thanks

OR

OR both at once?

Hey, why not do both? If You can't afford both now, do the exhaust first and add the headers when You can afford to.

Both at once so you only have to go to the shop once. Save some time and money maybe, seems like it would be cheaper for labor to have both done at same time. Also, I've heard that ceramic headers attract rust, is this true?

Ya i just ordered the exhaust system and i think im going to hold off on the headers for now because i want to do an LT1 swap. As for the Rust, i don't think so because isnt it just stainless steel that is ceramic coated for heat and flow?

I've been told, now this could be wrong, but supposedly the ceramic is porous, and traps moisture when cooling down, leading to premature rusting. But again, this is just hear-say, I don't know for sure.

Thats a good point and makes sense. So I just tried to install the exhaust system today and got stuck so I get to take it in on monday..dammit. I am getting a video up on youtube with the exhaust ending at the cat convertor. hehe I thought I should Fire it up to see how it would sound mufflerless. Ill edit this with the website in.
peace
