Flowmaster exhaust question
Hey everyone, I have a question for anyone who knows anything about Flowmasters, I have a 1995 V6 3.4 Camaro and need a new exhaust system (pipes, muffler), I was thinking about going to a muffler shop here in town and getting a Flowmaster...my question (Actually a couple):
Do I have to purchase a certain Flowmaster for my car or will any of them work? And will I be able to use my current catyltic converter with the Flowmaster or will I have to purchase a Flowmaster Catyltic Converter, I am asking because I really want to get it done this weekend but I'm only going to have $200, do you think I could get the pipes and Flowmaster done for that?
*Thanks for taking the time to read and answer, I know absolutely zero about exhaust systems.

With labor etc. you probably wont get it done for $200. The cat will work but if you get bigger pipes after the cat than before it it's a waste of money. If youre doing it because you have to, get the stock size pipes and a cheap flowmaster and save some money. If you want horsepower, save up a bit and get all new pipes from the headers on. Get bigger pipes, probably 2.5" and a high flow cat and high flow muffler.
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, I don't neccesarily want a Flowmaster brand, just something cheap/similar, I wasn't looking for a horsepower boost either, just wanting to get a new exhaust because mine has about had it, I've been needing a new one for quite some time now. Again, thanks for taking the time to answer the questions, I will take it to the shop this weekend and see what they say, I just didn't want to go in completely stupid on the matter.
No problem. If you're not interested in more horspower get the stock size pipes and a cheap magnaflow muffler. Way better than flowmaster. You will notice that your car becomes a bit peppier...not so much of a horsepower increase, but the engine will be quite a bit more responsive.
