alright so i got a quick question
can alot of exhaust leaks cause a misfire
they guy at autozone told me to get my exhaust fixed cause he checked out the car and he said the exhaust was horrible..... he said that if im not getting the right amount of exhaust or sumthin like that with the air that it wont get the right air/fuel mixture...... so can that fix my whole misfire problem? a new exhaust system?

 

In a way yes!!
If you have a leak between head and headers you can get a misfire!
I have had that problem.

 

If the O2 sensor doesn't sense all the exhaust (i.e. exhaust header leak), it can call for the wrong amount of fuel to be added, possibly causing misfires.

 

aw well where my exhaust pipe and maniflod meet there is a leak there and on the muffler and near the cat its alot of leaks. I smell fuel 2. and if i turn my car off and try to crank it back up it surges up and down and sometimes stalls

 

Sounds like there is more then just a leak.
Maybe a bad O2 sensor!?
