Default 3.8 Exhaust Question

Anyone know how my 3.8l would sound if I took off my muffler for a while? I was wondering, because I noticed today that its not welded on, just clamped, so it doesnt seem too hard to get off. I also noticed a hole in my muffler.. Anyway, Im sure it would be a little louder, but would it sound too loud or like crap or would it maybe sound alright? I might try to take it off to see what it sounds like tomorrow, or I may just get a gutted cat and just make it an all out track car.. (Viper kill joke, for those that didnt notice)

lol, ok, I don't really want to lose any gas mileage.. I would like to replace it sometime though, to get rid of that hole and everything. I may get something like a Magnaflow or a Flowmaster muffler, but maybe not. I don;t really want anything thats gonna sound ricey..
