Default Valve lifters (tappets)

Hey! im pretty new here and want to get straight in with posts. Ive got a 1998 camaro, 3.8L V6, sport gold. I live in England after moving here from Vegas. It turns out not many people know much about Camaro's, so I want to turn to you guys for help. My car has developed a pretty bad knock from the valvel lifters (tappets) and i need to get it fixed. The problem is, no-one here knows if my car has hydraulic or manual lifters. Can anyone help me out with more info or a fix from their own experience?

Your car has hydraulic lifters. It could just be a case that the rocker arm has loosened itself and just needs to be readjusted, or you may have a bad lifter or a bent push rod. You should get a repair manual to help you maintain the car.
