Has anyone found hatchback lifters & hood lifters for a '95 which will lift the hatch & hood for you? I don't recall if this is the original behavior or not. Currently they both hold the hood & hatch up, but do no lifting action of their own.

Anyone know where I can find replacement which will actually lift each and if the originals did when it was new?

They don't lift anything. All they do is hold the hood and hatch open.

 

That is actually not true, in my '01 SS, they absolutely *do* lift the hood up once you get it started -- that is the behavior I am desiring for my '95 and the root of my question.

 

Whatever you belive the hood & hatch do is alright with me.[sm=chairshot.gif] .
