Default True Dual Exhaust

Is it possible to put true duel exhaust under a 94 z28? I looks really tight to me. I was thinking about 3" exhaust

I believe its been done but from what ive heard its not worth it. a 3in catback designedfor a z28 would be easier and probably cheaper.

[:@] one can do anything one wants with either enough money or a lack of respect for how it looks. seriously to do a nice tight clean job and not end up with too much heat in places you dont want it would be difficult at best with this body( they just didnt leave enough room for ground clearance, mufflers etc) what it has stock is tucked away pretty good without much clearance. a three inch single is doable but its tiiigggghhhhht going over the axle, thats what i opted for. the only dual option really takes you down a real redneck road with the duals hanging below everything. i suppose you could spend hundreds to thousands fabbing and altering but what are you gonna gain for the dollar?? not much. if your just after the look then stay with an aftermarket rear split system. if your looking for the extra tenth of a horse power there a lot of much cheaper ways and places to find it. kurt

it really depends how you want the setup to be, and who does it.the first time i had true duals the place i went to had never done it before so of course it didnt come out great.but i found a guy who knows how to do it and i had a 3" custom system done for $500 and i still have good ground clearance

do you just want sound or do you want performance too? Youtube has a gazillion videos of exhaust and you could go boffo watching all of them. I was going to go with the SLP but on 93-95 Z28's they also require an installation kit for over $100 more. I found a Magnaflow system on sale and it sounds great and the dyno sheet on the magnaflow site helped seal the deal.

One other thing i liked about the Magnaflow is that it's stainless as opposed to aluminum. Here's a picture of it.

well its a custom made xpipe and its mandrel bent, its a under the axle setup, its so close to the floor board that i do get some vibration in the car but it gives me a lot more ground clearance
