Well, found out the diagnosis today, the place I took it to says it needs a whole new tranny. Ya I love hearing that. Anyway I have no clue if Im getting screwed or not, the guy is wanting to charge me roughly 2900 to put it in and everything. Its a new tranny from Jasper Engines and Transmissions. I dont know the price of anything or the cost of labor(probably depends on shop) but could anyone tell me maybe if im getting screwed just a bit? Thank you

 

sounds like synchros to me, but that doesnt require a new tranny. however, you can probably get one at a junkyard and install it yourself cheaper than what it would be to repair it.
