im need help.


will a muncie 4-spd, like a M-21, bolt up to a 305 c.i.out of a 1984 Z-28?

the reason i wanna know is 1. my car now is a 3 spd automatic.

2. i want a manual transmission(i was thinkin bout savin up for the Tri-5 chevy 5 or 6(double overdrive)speed conversion)

3. i love 4 speeds.

The V8 bellhouse will bolt to any Gm V8. But are you sure you have a 3 speed auto now? Its not a 4 speed 700R4? If it was swapped you will have to see what was done for the torque arm mount.

 

if its a 4 speed ive lost 4th gear...idk i jus know the guy we bought it from rigged the whole car and were finally gettin through most of his riggin

 

well if you have a 700R4 like what should be in there it would have a 16 bolt square pan and a 4 wire plug going into the tranny close to the tail shaft houseing

 

alright ill check it out tomorrow in auto tech..i think it is a 700r4 if its got a square pan..cause i THINK its got a square pan..i aint had it on a lift since i bought it..jus up on stands and i never payed particular attention to it
