Default the shifting cable. transmision

im wondering if anyone knows how to replace the shift cable.

Me too...I put a new seal in the tranny there where the shift cable connects and somehow f ed up the shift cable...now park is reverse and reverse is drive. it will not shift through all the gears like it should.

You prolly got the arm on the trans on backwards. that would reverse all your settings.

As far as replacing the cable you would need to remove the console and shifter, then the cable were it goes through the floor and after that feed it out the rest of the way. IT has a few brackets here and there to hold it where needed and you need to make sure you dont damage them since the new cable will need them to mount properly.

It is a time consuming job but not a hard one.
