my check engine light comes on and when i check diagnostic codes it comes up with code 21 which is the throttle position sensor. what could be wrong with it? the motor runs fine. The timing might be off. would timing effect throttle position sensors?

its a 1991 Throttle Body Injected 350 thats in my 1973 Camaro. Its wired up with a painless wire harness.

 

faulty sensor perhaps?
remove the sensor and check to see if it glides smoothly in its operation, or if it grabs.
auto parts stores might have em otherwise ebay or dealership.

if it says that the censor is bad replace it.
