Default Swap '79 To Manual Steering

Greetings....newibe here. I'm Roger down in Texas and I'm looking for info. on swapping my 1979 Camaro from power steering to manual steering. It's a strip only big block car. If anyone knows what manual gear boxes/pitman arms will bolt up, please let me know.

Thanks!
Roger

You could just loop your hose on the box.

Looping the hoses isn't the best way to do it. The internals will ware a lot faster due to lack of fluid and on top of that it will eventually leave to slop in the wheel. Yes the steering box and pitman arm will meet up.

Dont know how true this is but I just spoke to a guy with a 79 firebird that said he used a steering box for a S 15 pickup and supposedly it bolted right up. I am trying to find out more info on this but I think I will need to go to the junk yard and size one up.

Looping the hose is an old trick that has been used at the track for years. Fluid stays in the box so there is no lack of. And it dont cost $500!
