Default subwoofer swap

Hey, I want to try a different sub. I have the bose sound system. I don't want to poke, saw,and cutmy car up at all, or jam a bunch of massive speakers, woofers, and amps in it. I like the bose system a lot, I just thought perhaps a different sub of the same size might add a little extra oomphh.

Will this fit? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=264-831

I looked around the forum, but all the posts are about people trying to put massive sound systems in their cars and that's not really what I'm after.

Measure the dimensions of the bose one, and take into factor how much space behind the speaker you have to work with.

Hiss might be able to tell you if that's a decent speaker or not, notice I said speaker bc it's a 5.25"!!!!!

pics. I donno. It looks like it's 5.5 inches...

Edit:
Or 6.5" if you count that metal rim around it. I don't really know how to measure.

I'm sure it would be an upgrade...

Just an interesting upgrade, but whatever floats your boat!

Measure to the outside of everything for the size of the sub

I went to crutchfield.com, and went to "outfit my car." I put in all my model info, and this is the information it gave me about my speakers (copied and pasted):

Front speakers
Front Door : 6-3/4"

Rear speakers
Pillar : 6-3/4"

Far rear speakers
Rear Seat Side Panels : 6-3/4"
I assume 'far rear speakers' refers to my "sub"? What else could it mean? But I'm wondering why it said speakers (plural). There's only one back there. And what does it mean by rear seat side panels? That sorta sounds synonymous with a pillar plastic panel, but the pillar is already mentioned. And the "sub" is way back in the back in the trunk area. I'm confused. Thoughts?
