would that hurt my car if i baught a exhaust made for an LS1 camaro?, i wanna get the 800 dollar borla exhaust, but would it be bad for my motor? or would it even sound good on a v6?

[X(] folks no matter how hard you try a v6 will never sound like a v8. now you can give the v6 a little more rumble. i would think that yould be wasting money if you bought a v8 exhaust system and tried to put it on a v6, too much fabricating. if you insist on a full exhaust im pretty sure ive seen them built just for the v6's. i would recommend simply replacing the rear factory muffler with a flowmaster 40 series as this gives you a nice rumble without being too loud and doesnt cost much. i personally have done several as well as my z28 and it sounds great kurt

fabricating? Same system design LS1 - V6 year for year, I believe hangar style is a little different that is all, it looked the same as my stock system

Cut off single-out v6 muffler and slap v8 dual-out muffler in place.

Done.

I would be doing it for looks, not for sound, personally as some previous comments would suggest....

 

be careful what you put on for an exhaust. it is very easy to put too big of an exhaust on a V-6 and lose too much backpressure. by doing that you will lose a lot of lower end performance and when you step on the gas all you will hear is a loud noise and the car won't be going anywhere.

that is what is the problem with all the imports and their fart can exhausts
