Default Shifting problem...

Ok, so I was wondering about this problem that my transmission is having. It is very tough going from 1st to 2nd gear and almost always grinds. It is also tough but not quite as tough going from 2nd to 3rd gear but it usually doesnt grind in that one. I also cant downshift into 3rd from 4th and if I downshift into 2nd, it grinds something horrible.. I had thought it would be the synchros, but I wasnt sure if it might be that the clutch isnt disengaging from the engine fully because at times its also difficult to get it into reverse. Any help would defenitely be appreciated.

Try shifting by double clutching. If it still grinds the clutch or the linkage is not working right. If it does not grind then the synchros are bad.

According to the info you gave on your car (year, model...) You may have a hydralic clutch. Check the fluid. pull the cap and check because there may be a rubber part inside and will fool you into thinking its full.

When I double clutch, it doesnt grind.. So I guess it is the synchros.. Even when I double clutch it, I cant downshift into 3rd or 2nd though...
