Default Serpentine Conversion

How do I tell if my motor was correctly converted to serpentine? I bought the motor from someone who didnt know what year it was from. Im guessing its a pre-1980 motor seeing that the dipstick is on the drivers side. Every pulley on it is a 5-groove serpentine. I didnt think they had serpentine pulleys pre-1980? So Im guessing he converted it. So how do I tell if he did it right?

If the belt does not fly off and all acessories turn in the proper direction, it was done correctly. The one problem could be the water pump. If the pump is driven by the back of the belt, it has to be a pump designed for reverse rotation.
