i hear a clicking noise comming from the driver's side of my engine bay. ive had to tighten the psp belt a few times, and the noise had stopped, but has come back again. the belt is still properly adjust. there is some free play in the pump pulley. i dont think it is the a/c compressor. are there any fixes, or should i look into getting a new pump? its in an 86 tpi

 

It may be your pump taking a ****. Is it full of fluid? Can you take that belt off and start it and listen for the noise?

 

yes, the pump does have fluid in it. at the moment, i cant take the belt off (too damn cold out), but next weekend looks good for getting some work done.

 

hey, good news. i figured out the noise. my ac belt took a crap on me and shredded. no more noise now, at least not the i remember

 

Personaly I would have just turned the radio up louder.

 

i could hear it over my 1000 watt stereo. yes, it was that bad
