Default Numbers on Heads and Block ,What Do they Mean??

I pulled the engine from my '67 today. The engine is a 350 that was rebuilt a couple of years ago. Their are numbers on the front of the engine on the flat surface behind the alt. V1222TBF C9F389389. On the back of the block it has 41 GM 3970010 on drivers side,218 S on the pass. side. Under the valve cover is stamped 0 29 5, 338882. Can anyone tell me what these numbers mean???Trying to figure out what I got. Thanks Eveyone!!

Default RE: Numbers on Heads and Block ,What Do they Mean??

here are a few sites that have a lot of info
http://www.mortec.com/castnum.htm
http://www.nastyz28.com/sbchevy/sblock.html#camaro
http://www.camaros.org/index.shtml
http://www.chevy-camaro.com/

from what I can tell on the engine
V1222TFB
V = Flint Mi
1222 = Dec 22
TBF = 70-350,or 79-350 Truck

C9F389389
C = Chevy Truck
9 = 1979
389389 = last 6 numbers of the Truck vin number

3970010 is the casting number = 69 302,69-80 350

From the heads
338882 = nuthing
must be 333882 = 70-80 350/400 1.94 in valve 1.5 ex valve

the other number you list are date codes but dont match anything. read the sites I listed and look again at the motor for the numbers
