Question Engine Block Numbers

Back in 1990, I purchased a 1946 Chevrolet 1/2-ton pickup truck. The owner told me that he had the 350 motor rebuilt (30, I guess) and that it had about 2000 miles on the rebuild. I accepted his limited information, bought the truck and we both went on with our lives. Now, all these years later, I'd like to know what YEAR/CAR this 350 motor is from. If I can manage to get the number on the block and possibly the numbers on the heads, how can I run the numbers to find out what I have? It's bugged me for years now and I just want to know. Thanks for any answers guys.

After you get the block numbers, you can find your answers here: Camaro Decoding help on Chevy-Camaro.com
