No handbrake 1984 Z28
Hi Folks, I just bought a Z28 1984 and its got no handbrake at all. all the mechanics work fine but the back calipers do nothing when the handbrake is engaged. Is there any adjustment??? or is there a kit I need to put through the calipers to make the hand brake work??? any advise would be greatly appreciated .....Cheers Mark

On the 4 wheel disc cars if you do not use the park brake from time to time, it will come out of adjustment.
I had to take off my rear calipers and manually adjust the pistons. The do not come out like the front. You need a tool to turn them. Pick up a shop manuel and you will see what I am talking about.
If you rear pads are worn, just do a rear wheel brake job. Make sure you adjust the cable.
The rears are a little of a pain to do. Like I said, get a shop manual and DO NOT by a Hanes. Buy chiltons.
