Default My 91 RS is having a lot of trouble starting latley...

I think it is something electrical... but i just got a brand new battery, and a brand new alternator... something tells me it is that stupid "security" chip on the key... When i turn the key i just get a weeerrn sound just like an electric sound... but sometime when i lick my key it will work... does anyone have some suggestions or a possible diagnosis before i take it to the shop to get some 600 dollar bull repair done?

thanks.

Yourconnections are sucky. Try rubbing them with an eraser first, sand paper also works. Or just get the bypass.

Ok, so i have ordered the bypass, and i have taken off what i believe to be my hush pannel... but i can not find the VATS connecter that is near the steering column..... I am going by these directions here http://www.ecklerscamaro.com/assets/pdf/725141.pdf?

this seems simple enough but I am not sure if this is the connector or not... any help? (i know the pics are crappy)
