hey
i have a '96 z28ss and on the left fresh air hose comin up from the header gets so hot that it justs melts the rubber hose and makes it crack. but the right stays cool loike it is suppose to. is there somethin clogged up on that side (carbon build up or something) or could it be a check valve stuck closed that is just sendin al lthe hot exhaust air back through the hose causin it to get so hot

The check valve is probably stuck open, allowing the exhaust to flow into the hose, Try replacing it.
