injectors and fuel rail

injectors and fuel rail
I was perusing the numerous 3800 parts sites, and i got to wondering, usually when i hear of people modding their cars, all i hear about are intake and exhaust and maybe some shiny spark plug wires. On a completely stock 3800, would upgrading the injectors and fuel rail help at all? or would i just be waisting gas dumping it into the cylinders i was looking at this http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_p...&catid=113

RE: injectors and fuel rail
[&:] pete i know youve heard me beat this one to death but it seems to pop up all the time. RED 94 no add on single component will realize its potential without other parts, and some single components(as pete mentioned) can prove to be detrimental when not thought of as a part of a whole. the engine and its function are a compilation of parts and programs designed to work together and each of those parts have limits and characteristics. with some exceptions(headers come to mind as the computer has the ability to compensate for them) most additions to an engine will require complementary parts to be added as well to realize increased performance or avoid damage. with that i can only ditto pete, it would be a complete waste of money for you at this point and will most likely damage cats and or cause drivability issues. kurt
