Default Fuel Rail/Fuel Pressure Regulator

I've done as much internet searching on this as I can do and most of it is clear, but I just wanted to ask another question: When removing the fuel rail and changing out the FPR do the injectors come out of the intake along with the fuel rail or does it come out without the injectors? Also, what's the easiest and safest method of removing the fuel rail once you have done all the steps in disconnecting the fuel lines, unbolted the fuel rail it and removed the torx screw from the fpr mounting etc. Do you simply pry it up and the injectors come out with it, or does it come off from the intake without the injectors attached to it? Thanks!!!

If you are careful, you can pull out the fuel rail and injectors as one unit after the rail retaining bolts are removed. The injector "O" rings may be stuck on to the manifold and may need some wiggling. The injectors are held to the fuel rail by retaining clips.

it would be a major pain to try and install the rail if the injectors are not hooked to it. you'd just push the injectors into the manifold. i never thought of trying to do it any other way than how the service manual says to which is to leave the injectors connected to the rail. i also try not to unscrew the fpr until after the fuel rail is out. easier,,, i also have found that the tool for taking off plastic pieces and retainers works good to help the injectors come out. its got a slotted flat piece on the end and is bent so it works good to pry on the injector body without harming it.
