Default I think I blew my electrical system

I Just finished putting the interior together on my 81 camaro when I tried out the radio. Nothing happened, so I tried leaving the radio on and testing the speaker cables with a multi meter. since my battery is almost dead, I had the charger on it. When I went back inside the car after being in the trunk testing the speakers, I noticed that the radio was off. I unplugged the charger and the car will not reconize any power. I left the battery cable attached accidentaly that is why I think I blew the electrical system. Please help me. I dont know what to do. I really messed up this time. email is mttvogt@gmail.com
Thanks for all of your help.
